Dental Bonding

Dental bonding can improve the appearance of teeth that are chipped, broken, discoloured, stained, crooked or rotated. It can also fix unattractive spaces between teeth or bridge facings that are worn or broken. By adding a tooth-like substance to a tooth, bonding changes the tooth's shape or colour, increases its size, or repairs a defect. Dental bonding is a multi-layered process in which durable, enamel-like composite resins are intricately applied to the tooth before it is exposed to a special light. The state-of-the-art bonding material is highly polishable and stain resistant. Any extrinsic stains that might occur can be removed by a routine dental cleaning. Most bonding procedures can be completed in one dental visit and last between 5 and 10 years, depending on a number of factors, including the materials used and the patient's care of the restored teeth.
